A Commitment to Mental Health Advocacy
Director Jonny Hennessey-Brown is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness. Believing in the power of openness to combat stigma, Jonny has led by example, raising thousands of pounds for mental health charities through concert sponsorships, bucket collections, and donating proceeds from album sales.
As a former cellist, founder of the Santiago Quartet, and concert promoter, Jonny continues to champion mental health initiatives, often encouraging promoters to support mental health charities at events.
Looking Ahead: A Bold Vision for the Future
Our commitment to inclusivity and creativity extends to our future endeavours. By 2032, we plan to launch a transformative project that highlights music created and performed by individuals affected by mental health challenges or addiction. This initiative, developed in collaboration with artistic planners, festivals, and educational institutions, will feature dynamic programs and residencies across multiple genres, uniting a rotating roster of partners and performers.
Pilots for this groundbreaking project are already underway, and it will run alongside our agency as a complementary venture—amplifying voices, fostering understanding, and redefining the landscape of music. At Hennessey Brown Music, we are not just curating careers; we are creating a movement that celebrates the transformative power of music in all its diversity and depth.
